The European Advanced Course in Clinical Tuberculosis
This course offers the opportunity to update your knowledge of clinical tuberculosis.
Topics include: epidemiology and TB control, noting the contributions of molecular biology to this area; diagnosis, with an update on the GeneXpert test and advances in near-patient tests; treatment, noting the evidence base for the new drugs and planned clinical trials; the management of complex patients, including children, people living with HIV and other immunocompromised hosts; and a discussion of the future prospects for TB control and research.
The course faculty has a comprehensive experience in the field of clinical tuberculosis. The program is designed to be interactive, with case presentations and opportunities to discuss topics and network with European colleagues.
